About The Opportunity The Shipping/Receiving Lead supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to the customer base. The person in this position also supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Essential Functions:
1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures 2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines 3. Serve as a working supervisor who will assist in shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, checking in materials and or product, and match ASN and BOMs 4. Read and verify customer manifest, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved gathered or shipped. 5. Coordinate dock traffic, ensures that all trucks must sign in and out of facility 6. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs. Input data into shipping and receiving schedule. 7. Confer with managers inside and outside the distribution center to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventory management and quality assurance. 8. Each employee is responsible for performing these functions in a safe manner and providing quality service and product 9. Prepare all shipping and receiving documents in a timely and accurate manner.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education:
Level Desired: High School Diploma
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years related experience or training in the field of shipping, receiving and warehouse supervision
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner 2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business 3. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed 4. Ability to effectively work in teams 5. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people 6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles 7. Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math 8. Ability to become familiar with and be able to interpret packing slips, enter correct information into the computer, and acknowledge receipt of goods into the purchase order 9. Ability to understand and use all applicable aspects of WMS (PackManager) 10. Ability to work with plant management for required results 11. Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment 12. Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job 13. Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) 14. Ability to work well under pressure 15. Strong leadership skills 16. Must pay attention to detail

The expected salary range for this position is $22-$27/hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short and Long term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
