About the RoleWe're looking for a curious, collaborative SEO strategist who enjoys solving problems, experimenting with new tools, and helping websites grow organically. In this role, you'll work with a variety of client accounts, using both proven SEO techniques and new approaches involving automation and AI.You don't need to be an AI expert or a developer - just someone who's excited about where search is going and eager to learn and adapt. This is a hands-on role with a lot of opportunity to make an impact.What You'll DoLead and Manage SEO Campaigns Plan and implement SEO strategies across different client websites. Monitor key performance metrics like traffic, rankings, and leads. Work on both technical SEO and content-driven improvements. Explore New Tools and Tactics Try out AI tools and automation platforms to improve SEO efficiency. Experiment with prompt testing, featured snippets, and new types of search results. Look for creative ways to gain visibility beyond traditional search engines. Share Insights and Collaborate Keep up with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and AI developments. Share updates with the team and clients in clear, actionable ways. Help contribute SEO knowledge to reports, internal resources, and training. Tackle Technical SEO Challenges Perform audits and suggest improvements for things like site speed, structure, and schema. Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure clean technical setups. Support AI and SERP visibility through smart tagging and data structure. Support Growth and Team Learning Help build efficient processes, templates, and documentation. Contribute to training, knowledge-sharing, and quality checks. Provide input on internal site improvements, blog content, and reporting. If you're excited about where SEO is headed and enjoy testing new ideas, we'd love to hear from you.Apply now and help us explore the future of search!RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForYou don't need to check every box to apply - if you're experienced in SEO, open to learning, and excited about the direction search is heading, we'd love to hear from you.Here's what will help you succeed in this role: 3-5 years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical, content, and strategic work. Comfortable using SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Google Analytics. Technical SEO skills, especially within WordPress environments (site structure, speed, tags, indexing, etc.). Working knowledge of structured data and schema markup - or a willingness to learn and implement them with guidance. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - you'll need to explain SEO ideas clearly to teammates and clients. A self-directed and curious mindset - you enjoy building systems, testing ideas, and improving processes. Bonus Points (Not Required)If you have experience or interest in these areas, great! If not, we're happy to support your learning: Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or AI-enhanced search behavior. Prompt testing, embedding concepts, or GPT-based tools and APIs. Using automation tools (like Make.com or Zapier) to improve workflows. Work Location: Hybrid in Raleigh, NC (must be able to work on-site multiple days per week)*This role will be strictly in person only for the beginning of your employment until we're both comfortable with being virtual part-time.Schedule: Monday - Friday, hours flexible between 8:00am - 6:00pmBenefitsCompensation will be determined based on your experience, skill set, and the impact you're positioned to make within our team.
