Job Title: IT Developer Location: Washington, D.C Work Authorization: US Citizen

Position Summary Softthink is hiring an IT Developer to provide development and technical support services to the Information Resources Management and Technical Services Unit (IRM&TS) at CBO. This role involves application development, backend services, scripting, deployment automation, and database management in a secure, cloud-supported environment.

Responsibilities • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, and CSS • Build and deploy solutions on AWS Cloud platforms • Write and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core • Develop responsive UI/UX interfaces using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery • Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Perl • Manage relational databases, including performance tuning and writing stored procedures/functions in SQL • Integrate JavaScript libraries and plugins, including Chart.js, Bootstrap, and jQuery UI/AJAX • Provision and manage development environments (local, virtual, or cloud-based) • Create and maintain deployment scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and artifact repositories • Perform debugging, performance testing, and application troubleshooting • Collaborate with internal CBO staff to ensure software quality, functionality, and security

Required Skills and Experience • Strong experience with ASP.NET Core (MVC, Web API, Razor, middleware, authentication/authorization) • Experience developing web services using MVC, WCF, and Web APIs • Proficiency in front-end development using JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap • Experience with asynchronous JavaScript and AJAX-based interactivity • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with stored procedures and performance tuning • Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise, version control, and automation • Hands-on experience with deployment automation and DevOps best practices

Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Preferred Certifications:

o AWS Certified Developer o Certified Software Development Professional o GitHub Actions Certification o (ISC)² CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional o CompTIA Security+
