Job Description Wood is recruiting for a Supply Chain Lead to join its Operations Americas business focusing on Power & Industrials and Oil & Gas projects. This opportunity is onsite, based in Houston, TX, United States, for an 8-month assignment.
The Role
As Supply Chain Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a deployed supply chain project team across all aspects of supply chain management. This includes procurement, subcontracting, materials management, warehousing, expediting, and reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring commercial, technical, and compliance alignment across multiple projects, while driving performance and value through strategic sourcing and supplier management.

Subcontractor Management
Develop and execute strategies for sourcing, onboarding, and managing subcontractors across multiple projects. Lead prequalification processes, capability assessments, and ensure alignment with company standards (HSE, technical, commercial). Negotiate and finalize subcontract agreements (MSA and T&C) ensuring optimal commercial and legal outcomes. Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance, including KPIs, adherence to scope, and change management. Manage claims, disputes, and contractual obligations in collaboration with Legal and Project teams. Procurement Leadership
Oversee the full procurement lifecycle including strategy development, tendering, evaluation, award, and post-award management. Develop category strategies for key spend areas, especially services and specialized contracting. Ensure cost-effective and timely procurement aligned with project timelines and quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and engineering to ensure technical alignment of subcontract scopes. Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to internal controls, procurement policies, and regulatory compliance (including local content and ESG standards). Maintain strong documentation and audit trails for all procurement activities. Lead procurement risk assessments and mitigation strategies for subcontracted scopes.

10+ years of experience in supply chain roles within the energy or industrial sectors Strong knowledge of subcontractor management, procurement strategy, and contract negotiation Familiarity with regulatory compliance, ESG standards, and local content requirements Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills Proficiency in procurement systems and documentation best practices Desirable:
Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field Experience with ERP systems and procurement risk management
