Job Summary
As an associate software developer, you will be working with Blitt and Gaines, P.C.s product development team, building and testing automation applications utilizing SQL, C#, Python and Power BI. This role will also continually review the historical and on-going accuracy and integrity of the data and reports generated from our systems.
This is an experienced level position with opportunity for potential advancement into further development roles within the firm. You will report to the Director of Development and work to build a variety of types of applications for our firm.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of stored procedures and database queries to generate data for reports and dashboards. Support the development of automation tools and backend processes using C# or Python. Help build and maintain web services and APIs for internal and external applications. Collaborate with senior developers and analysts to understand business needs and deliver effective technical solutions. Participate in source control workflows using Git and project tracking through Azure DevOps. Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of CI/CD pipelines, including testing, builds, and deployment steps. Perform basic debugging and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior team members. Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and agile ceremonies.
Minimum Requirements
12 years of experience with C# or Python in a professional or internship setting. Basic experience writing and maintaining SQL queries or stored procedures. Familiarity with REST APIs and how to interact with them. Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git, or similar tools for version control and project management. Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software development best practices. Strong willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow technical skills. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or hands-on experience with web service development or automation scripting. Exposure to Azure cloud services or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). Familiarity with reporting or BI tools such as Power BI or SSRS. Understanding of agile development and software delivery practices.
Nice To Haves
Familiarity with Collection Master software Experience in the litigation or collections industry Experience with generating AI prompts and implementing AI solutions React or other front-end web languages
