Join Our Team as a CDL B Truck Operator!
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL B Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive and operate our commercial trucks, equipped with innovative lift mechanisms, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of containers at various customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism.
Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
Handle add-on deliveries as needed to ensure smooth business operations.
Utilize a handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes as required.
Maintain cleanliness and inspect containers to ensure they meet presentation standards for delivery.
Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and issues.
Perform repairs on containers and lifts both in the field and at the storage center.
Provide assistance at the storage center as needed.
Ensure truck cab cleanliness, keeping it free from debris.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid CDL Class B License required without an air brake restriction.
Must maintain a current driver license.
Must meet Driver Qualification Standards.
Minimum age of 21 years (insurance requirement).
Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a one-year certification.
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment preferred.
Strong math skills to perform required duties.
Ability to attend a mandatory 2-week new hire driver training program.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position while driving or operating equipment.
Ability to frequently ascend and descend equipment using three points of contact.
Ability to move about and position oneself to operate equipment and deliver containers.
Ability to occasionally lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong vision abilities, including close vision and spatial awareness for vehicle operation.
Ability to use hands effectively for writing, data entry, and equipment operation.
Working Conditions:
Shift start times may vary, and additional hours, including weekends, may be required.
Travel is required within the designated territory.
Storage centers may not be climate controlled.
Regularly work around moving mechanical parts and in varying outdoor conditions.
Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.
