Under the direction of the Chief of Engagement & Retention Marketing and reporting to the Staff Services Manager II - Marketing Manager Player Loyalty and Email Communications, the
Senior Marketing Specialist
will be responsible for: Strategic planning, execution, and optimization of the Lottery's loyalty programs and email marketing communications Managing end-to-end email campaigns and loyalty promotions from concept through implementation Developing promotional calendars and creative content including concepts, content, copy, and design This role is essential in providing an exceptional experience to motivate consumers, increase loyalty, and drive sales to support public education funding. The position can be remote or office-based at Lottery Headquarters in Sacramento, with occasional travel as needed. Employees must reside in California to be eligible for telework. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (preferred) 6+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 4+ years in email marketing Experience with email content creation, list management, campaign automation, and best practices At least 3 years of loyalty marketing experience with a high-profile consumer brand Proficiency with enterprise email platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign) Strong HTML skills preferred Ability to analyze data, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Experience with design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Figma) and Microsoft Office Experience in gaming, entertainment, e-commerce, FMCG, or CPG categories is a plus Important:
