Events Manager

who can lead the planning and execution of a wide range of internal and client-facing events across the U.S. and abroad. From intimate client roundtables to high-profile partner retreats, you’ll oversee the entire event lifecycle—bringing strategic vision, operational excellence, and creativity to every engagement. As a key member of the business development and marketing team, you’ll collaborate with attorneys, senior leadership, and vendors to deliver memorable experiences that elevate the firm’s brand and strengthen client relationships. You’ll also manage and mentor an Events Specialist and be a go-to resource for best practices across the firm’s network. What You’ll Do: Lead the planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events across 8+ U.S. offices and international locations. Limited travel. Facilitate intake calls with attorneys and BD teams to define goals, recommend formats/platforms, develop timelines, and track deliverables. Manage all aspects of event logistics—from venue sourcing, vendor negotiation, and budgeting to signage, CLE materials, and branded giveaways. Oversee the invite and registration process, including digital marketing assets, landing pages, and list targeting (Vuture experience a plus). Coordinate high-level internal events such as annual Partner Retreats, working closely with firm leadership on travel, accommodations, and meeting setup. Ensure accurate post-event reporting including attendance, budget reconciliation, and ROI metrics. Maintain a comprehensive calendar and database of firm events for reporting and strategic planning. Mentor and supervise the Events Specialist while managing vendors and cross-functional collaboration. Serve as a creative advisor, offering new ideas to enhance engagement and event impact. What We’re Looking For: 5+ years of experience in event planning, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment. Exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and event tech tools (experience with Vuture, Cvent, or similar platforms preferred). Skilled in budget creation, contract negotiation, and vendor management. Comfortable leading meetings and collaborating across teams and time zones.
