The increasing integration of renewable energy resources and diversification from traditional energy sources significantly impact power grids. The Generation Management System (GMS) can play a crucial role in transforming the energy landscape toward a more sustainable and efficient future. We are seeking Software Developers to join our industry-leading GMS suite development team. This system assists utilities in real-time monitoring, visualization, control, and optimization of generation resources. As part of an Agile team, you will design and implement advanced applications to help our utility customers meet generation demands, integrate with energy markets, and leverage renewable energy sources effectively. To succeed, you should have a foundational understanding of software development techniques and a passion to learn and grow your expertise. Your Impact
Develop, enhance, and maintain GMS products to address challenges like Unit Commitment, Economic Control, and interfacing with global energy markets. Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to design and implement top-tier software solutions. Design and implement reliable, high-performance features based on requirements and user stories, covering both front-end and back-end development. Follow best practices, including design reviews, code reviews, automated and manual testing. What You'll Need
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technical field. 1-2 years experience with C/C++. Familiarity with UI/UX development for desktop applications. A passion for learning and tackling complex problems. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize strategically. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally at various organizational levels. Familiarity with Java, MongoDB, Angular, and RESTful interfaces is preferred. Knowledge of Electrical Engineering or Power Systems principles is a plus. AspenTech will only employ individuals legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible. The salary range is $70,700 - $88,400, with potential for bonuses or incentives.
