General In-house Counsel - Hybrid/Remote

Job DescriptionJob Description We seeking an experienced General Counsel to provide comprehensive legal guidance and strategic oversight of various business entities. This role will manage attorney relationships and develop proactive legal strategies across all business functions, from intellectual property protection to commercial partnerships and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will balance legal expertise with business acumen, providing strategic direction that supports aggressive growth while minimizing risk exposure. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team to ensure all legal aspects of the business are managed proactively. This role offers the opportunity to build and shape the legal framework of a dynamic company, working on everything from strategies to commercial partnerships. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategy aligned with business objectives Build proactive legal framework to support business growth and minimize risk exposure Advise executive team on legal implications of business decisions and strategic initiatives Partner with marketing and product teams to ensure new campaigns include IP protection considerations Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements, affiliate contracts, supplier contracts, and partnership deals Manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) for influencers, contractors, and business partners Ensure compliance with industry regulations and advertising standards Manage product liability considerations, safety compliance and third-party lab testing certifications Lead and manage consumer surveys to substantiate and validate marketing claims Oversee copyright review processes for marketing materials and campaigns Manage litigation strategy in partnership with external counsel Handle dispute resolution and settlement negotiations Provide legal guidance on new business ventures and expansion opportunities Support due diligence processes for potential partnerships or acquisitions Advice on a broad range of commercial issues, including corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, capital raises, and business growth Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements with strategic partners, as well as draft and negotiate customer and vendor agreements Prepare, review and update, as applicable, corporate policies and regulatory compliance. Perform ad-hoc legal administrative tasks as needed Required Experience and Skills: Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited law school 7+ years of legal experience, preferably with in-house counsel experience Strong background in intellectual property, commercial law, and contract negotiation Experience in consumer goods, or e-commerce industries and regulated industries Strategic thinking skills with ability to balance legal risk and business objectives Experience managing legal professionals and external counsel relationships Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously
