Implement and install upgrades for control systems, drive systems, and robotics to modernize older equipment. Oversee subcontractors during press retrofits, ensuring accurate documentation, training, and data collection. Train maintenance staff in systematic troubleshooting techniques to enhance their skills. Support best practices and minimize equipment downtime to maintain optimal production. Address complex equipment and system issues by identifying and resolving problems effectively. Troubleshoot controls and direct maintenance teams in proper repair methods to ensure quick resolutions. Assist the maintenance department with PLC/electrical issues and DC/AC drives troubleshooting. Create and manage a comprehensive Legacy database of machine prints, schematics, electronic backups, and program backups. Provide programming and training for existing robotics and lead the implementation of new systems. What Do We Need? A minimum of 5 years of experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and PLC logic with hands-on PLC programming experience. Basic programming skills are essential for this role. A strong ability to address complex problems and troubleshoot equipment effectively. Excellent communication and interaction skills to collaborate with functional area managers for project efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and PLC software.
