General Position Description:
The Sr. Drupal Developer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites using Drupal 10, including:
Keep abreast of the latest Drupal trends, technologies, and best practices.
Create and maintain Drupal websites and applications, including custom modules, themes, and site architecture.
Provide technical guidance, estimating effort, and defining best practices
Integrating third-party services and optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
Custom module development and implementation
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web applications.
Perform operations and maintenance tasks
Ensure code quality, security, and responsiveness of Drupal applications.
Work with cross-functional teams (designers, project managers, other developers) to gather requirements, implement designs, and ensure project success.
Guide junior developers, conducting code reviews, and sharing best practices.
Position Qualifications/Experience/Education:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, candidates with Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred
Candidate should at least have 8 years of Drupal experience
Related certifications, including Certified Drupal Developer
Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in Drupal development including Drupal 10 and including custom module and theme development
Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology, specifically Scrum
Full stack development experience, including experience with Drupal front-end theming
8+ years leading development efforts working in a team environment
Proficient understanding database design and optimization, often with MySQL
Strong knowledge of Drupal core contributed modules, and theming.
Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Experience in troubleshooting web applications, addressing security vulnerabilities, and maintaining website uptime and performance.
Experience with configuration management tools
Understanding of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Expert level understanding of SDLC and development best practices
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
Experience working in Agile teams
Strong research and analytical skills
Capability to determine, understand, and document the business case and project scope
Desired Qualifications
Agile Scrum certification preferred
Related certifications, including Certified Drupal Developer
Experience in CI/CD
Integration experience in SiteImprove and SOLR
Experience with issue/change management software (i.e. JIRA)
Experience using Angular and/or ReactJS
Competencies:
Ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts and analysis to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Proven time management skills to ensure that tasks and documents are delivered according to schedule
Works well in a team environment
