JOB SUMMARY
Join our dynamic team as a CDL Truck Driver, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery and pickup of containers to and from client locations. You will foster excellent relationships with customers while maintaining a commitment to safety and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism, ensuring safe loading and unloading of containers at customer locations in compliance with all safety regulations.
Conduct daily pre and post trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift, logging results meticulously.
Adapt to business needs by accepting additional deliveries as required.
Utilize a company-issued handheld computer for delivery verifications and navigation.
Operate a forklift or overhead crane as necessary.
Clean and inspect containers to maintain a professional image for customer deliveries.
Coordinate rental paperwork and payment processes with customers effectively.
Communicate proactively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer queries or issues, and prepare driver notes as necessary.
Perform repairs on containers and lifts in both field and storage settings.
Assist with storage center functions when required.
Ensure the cleanliness of the truck cab, keeping it free from debris at all times.
Be open to performing additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position typically reports to Management, with direct supervisors such as Market Manager or Territory Manager.
This role is NOT responsible for managing other employees regarding hiring, performance management, or pay decisions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. A valid CDL Class B License is required, without air brake restrictions. Maintain a current/valid driver’s license. Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Applicants must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement). Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic devices and software is preferred. Basic math skills sufficient to perform necessary duties. Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience are acceptable. Willingness to attend and successfully complete the required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
