Welcome to Roda, where we are passionate about creating a magical customer experience, saving you time and money. Long gone are the days of waiting in service centers or taking shuttle buses to the metro. We come to you whether you are at home or in the office - giving you one less thing to worry about. We are a start-up team located in the greater DMV area. We work remotely most days, but gather in our Rockville office or at area events on a regular basis. Our days are not 9-5, but we value flexibility and balance. We are looking to hire an HR Coordinator to help us recruit a passionate and capable team, and ensure that team has what they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will have a “start-up” mentality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have demonstrated People team experience, and get exhilarated when sharing great ideas. Position Overview: As an HR Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we have the best team in the business. You will work closely with the operations and marketing teams to ensure roles are properly sourced, employees are onboarded, and paperwork is submitted with compliance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company while honing your HR + recruiting skills in a fast-paced environment. Core responsibilities: Recruit top notch candidates to fill open positions across departments, with special focus on technicians and operations support Onboard new employees and assist in ensuring hiring compliance Interviewing potential applicants regarding their skills, experience and education Contacting references and performing background checks on applicants Inform applicants about position details: working conditions, benefits and duties Conducting or helping with new employee orientation Helping process paperwork, payroll and employment records Maintain personal relationships with candidates throughout the entire recruitment and employment process Guide performance management, employee development, and culture building Requirements: Bachelors degree in organizational behavior or similar field 4+ years experience in an HR or recruiting role, preferably with a start-up or small business Familiarity with HR related tools including: applicant tracking system, people software, social media, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and adapt. Self-directed and organized Seniority level
