office. Job Description
Be involved in projects with our Building Technology Systems Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Our staff work on high-quality, high-profile, local, national, and international projects, participating in the complete project cycle from design to construction close-out. Design telecommunications systems (structured cabling, telecom spaces, pathway infrastructure) and electronic safety & security systems (IP video surveillance, access control, intercom). Coordinate with clients to gather and document system and design requirements. Create design narratives and produce coordinated construction documents (drawings and CSI specifications). Complete deliverables including technical drawings in coordination with REVIT/CAD staff. Participate in project meetings and review construction submittals and RFIs. Perform site surveys to document construction progress. Coordinate integration of security and telecommunications systems with other building systems (BMS, lighting control, AV). Understand local and national codes (NEC, IBC, NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA) related to system design and operation. Qualifications
Four-year degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years’ experience designing security and telecommunications systems for various building types. Design experience with audiovisual, DAS, data networks/Wi-Fi, telephony is a plus. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office. Experience working directly with clients, architects, and owners. Industry certifications are a plus but not required; a desire to achieve certification is important. Additional Information
