Legal Logistics Consulting is hiring on behalf of a growing fiduciary litigation law firm in Austin. Below is the job description. THE JOB This attorney will join an impressive and growing litigation team with a focus on fiduciary disputes that includes contested probates, trust litigation, guardianships, and power of attorney challenges. This is a litigation-forward, client-facing role for someone who takes pride in their work, builds trust easily, and communicates with clarity and confidence. This candidate will work directly with clients and partners, manage your own docket, and collaborate with a skilled internal team. The ideal candidate thrives on accountability, takes initiative to solve problems, and brings a steady, thoughtful presence to fast-moving cases. The firm cares deeply about both quality and kindness, and is looking for someone who does too. This role is based in Austin, TX with some hybrid flexibility. Court appearances and client meetings are primarily in person. Candidates must be licensed in Texas. This is a full-time attorney position with a 1,400 billable hour requirement. Bonuses are available for hours billed above that threshold. THE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a docket of fiduciary litigation matters (with support), including will contests, trust disputes, guardianship litigation, and breaches of fiduciary duty; Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence that reflect both strategic thinking and clear communication; Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and mediations, plus support partners and co-counsel in trial prep and trial presentation; Collaborate with paralegals and fellow attorneys to keep cases moving with pitching in where needed and respecting the team’s time; Build client relationships grounded in empathy, clarity, and trust; Participate in regular team check-ins and litigation strategy meetings—asking smart questions, seeking feedback, and refining your approach; Maintain accurate and timely time entries and work with operations to support clean and effective billing; and Contribute to a strong firm culture by showing up for your team, taking ownership of your role, and delivering excellent work with low ego. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 3–7+ years of litigation experience, ideally in general/complex litigation, family, probate, trust, or guardianship law; Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas; Skilled in motion practice, hearings, discovery, and depositions; Excellent research and writing abilities that is clear, polished, and persuasive; Strong judgment, initiative, and a proactive problem-solving mindset; You are committed to quality, accountability, you follow through with your own your work, and you keep learning; You are empathetic, human-centered, and you bring courtesy and clarity to high-emotion situations; and You are collaborative, adaptable, and you enjoy working with a team that believes we’re better together.
