Application Specialist
to join our growing team. Please note: This is a fixed-term employment position tied to the funding duration of specific grants or contracts. The position is expected to continue through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension contingent upon the renewal or extension of funding.
About the Role
The Application Specialist will support post-launch success across multiple aid programs, configuring and maintaining AidKit's low/no-code platform for real-world use. You'll work closely with Application Engineers and Program Managers to ensure seamless operations, while also helping to identify and resolve platform issues, monitor data integrity, and implement updates or improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving in ambiguity, is detail-oriented and organized, and thrives on turning complexity into simplicity. No day is the same in this role! It's a great fit if you're curious, eager to use and grow your technical skills in SQL and JavaScript, and excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of low/no-code applications. Monitor program workflows and troubleshoot issues in real-time. Conduct data quality checks and help manage form/survey logic, eligibility rules, and system triggers. Stakeholder Support Partner with Program Managers to understand program requirements and translate them into functional platform updates. Serve as a responsive point of contact for troubleshooting and implementation support. Document platform configurations and maintain clear records for knowledge sharing. Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution Assist in debugging and problem-solving across multiple programs. Contribute to user testing and help validate new features or updates before rollout. Collaborate with Application Engineers to escalate technical issues as needed. Process Improvement Identify patterns in program operations to suggest optimizations. Share learnings from the field to inform platform development. Help create or refine internal tools, templates, and documentation.

You're curious, adaptable, and eager to apply your technical skills in a mission-driven environment. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and figuring things out in ambiguous environments—whether it's untangling platform logic or helping a teammate troubleshoot a bug. You're not afraid to ask questions and are excited by the idea of growing your technical skillset over time. Ideal Qualities : Strong problem-solving instincts Ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical folks Comfortable working across multiple programs or priorities Some professional experience in SQL, JavaScript, and workflow tools (e.g. Figma) Mission-aligned and committed to delivering aid with dignity and efficiency
Compensation and Location
