$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Buchanan Legal Professional Services An industry-leading law firm is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Business Development Specialist to support its nationally recognized Litigation Practice, which spans complex commercial disputes, securities litigation, intellectual property litigation, employment, and white-collar matters. The role will involve a mix of strategic planning, content development, pitch execution, and profile-raising initiatives across the litigation group.
This role is hybrid, and can sit in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Santa Monica, or Seattle. Key Responsibilities Include: Draft, coordinate, and execute client pitches, proposals, RFPs, and panel submissions in collaboration with attorneys and BD leadership Maintain up-to-date marketing collateral, including representative matters, case studies, and experience summaries tailored to litigation practice areas Manage the end-to-end development of client alerts, newsletters, event invitations, and webinar content Support the planning, promotion, and execution of practice-specific events, CLEs, and speaking engagements Lead or contribute to the submissions process for major legal directories and awards, including Chambers USA, Legal 500, and Benchmark Litigation Track litigation victories, case outcomes, and thought leadership content for internal and external communications Assist with the onboarding of lateral partners, ensuring seamless integration into the firm’s marketing strategy Collaborate with BD leadership to advance strategic business development initiatives, including cross-practice growth opportunities Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; background in marketing, communications, English, or law preferred 5+ years of marketing and business development experience in a law firm environment Exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to craft persuasive, tailored content Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., InterAction), email marketing platforms (e.g., Vuture), and research tools (e.g., PitchBook or Monitor Suite) a plus Interest in litigation, technology, and/or life sciences industries is a bonus Seniority level
