WinnCompanies is seeking a
Legal Coordinator — Property Management
to join our regional office in
Washington, D.C. This role involves the
timely collection of rent
from residents, managing landlord-tenant cases, and enforcing lease terms for residential and commercial tenants, in accordance with company policies. The position offers a pay range of
$26.40 to $28.84 per hour , dependent on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with an on-site requirement of 4 days per week and 1 day remote. Responsibilities
Execute actions per Rent Collection Policy. Assist with monthly Accounts Receivable reporting. Oversee rent collection processes, including notices, payments, and legal communication. Mail rent bills, send late notices, and instruct attorneys on rent demands. Complete affidavits, apply legal and damage charges, and manage legal petitions and stipulations. Maintain Do Not Accept (“DNA”) List and manage eviction procedures. Coordinate with subsidy providers, attorneys, and property managers on rent and legal matters. Review legal bills, dispute as needed, and manage court calendar documentation. Travel between sites as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
High School diploma or GED. 3-5 years relevant experience. Knowledge of housing regulations. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks confidentially. Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree. Experience with property management software (Yardi, RealPage). Accounts Payable/Receivable experience and basic accounting skills. Benefits
