Red Peak Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has an opportunity for a
Sr. Systems Engineer . The Sr. Systems Engineer will provide system analysis of components or subsystems of Naval military systems. The candidate will perform engineering work and apply judgment to resolve conflicting requirements.
Responsibilities
Vehicle barrier assessments to determine systems engineering decisions, including COTS vs. OEM parts, form/fit/function replacements, system design, fabrication design, and systems engineering.
Review current asset tagging strategy to determine the best approach to stocking COTS vs. OEM parts.
Evaluate asset inventory, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and perform 80/20 analysis to determine program spend and cost-savings measures.
Draft test requirements, test plans, and test reports.
Perform system simulation.
Apply knowledge of automation and control systems.
Familiarity with computer applications in mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering.
Solve complex technical design and development problems requiring professional engineering knowledge.
Edit and manipulate CAD drawings.
Travel up to 90% as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Electronic Security Systems, digital and analog systems, and U.S. Navy maintenance philosophy.
Experience with Lenel, Physical Security Systems, Access Control Systems preferred.
Ability to build and test RF, circular, and fiber connectors.
Experience in cable placement and routing in ship and shore environments.
Security Clearance: Secret.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
