Sr Systems Engineer at our San Diego (Otay Mesa) location . This role is eligible for a referral bonus.

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and reviewing the performance of professional and/or technical staff performing engineering work related to the design of control electronics for motion control products.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of electro-mechanical testing methods, data collection and analysis, equipment used in testing, and methods/processes of testing operations

Experience with embedded C for motor control

Knowledge of feedback devices for motor control such as hall sensors, resolvers, and encoders

Experience with multiple serial communications protocols such as SPI, I2C, RS232/RS485

Gigabit Ethernet direct experience is a plus

Strong research, design, and development knowledge within the electrical engineering discipline including control systems

Proficient with MATLAB and SIMULINK applications

Altium Designer skillset is a plus

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation, integration, and technical support.

Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and configurations.

Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately.

Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures.

Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.

May have sole responsibility for projects and participate in disaster recovery exercises.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in General Engineering or a specialized Engineering discipline.

5-7 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Technical expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $82,005.00 - $152,295.00 USD. Eligible for additional compensation such as Gain Sharing.
