$65,707.39 Annual Estimate (position paid hourly) Job Responsibilities
Conduct fire safety, home safety, fire extinguisher, and pre-fire planning inspections. Provide information to the public, install smoke detectors, conduct station tours, visit schools, and participate in public education events. Serve the public through various fire safety activities. Work cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors, healthcare professionals, and representatives of other departments and agencies. Fire Suppression
Respond to emergency fire alarms and perform fire suppression duties. Assist in extinguishing various types of fires using appropriate agents. Operate fire equipment and apparatus, perform search and rescue, ventilation, and salvage operations. Document firefighting and rescue actions in reports. Emergency Medical Services
Respond to medical emergencies and perform assessments and medical procedures. Transfer patients to medical facilities and document patient care. Serve as a preceptor for trainees and may serve as a paramedic on emergency calls. Communications
Use portable radios professionally and respectfully. Maintenance
Perform vehicle and equipment inspections and report discrepancies. Conduct facility maintenance as needed. Training
Participate in mandatory training sessions and drills. Compliance
Review paperwork for accuracy and participate in audits. Implement corrective measures and cooperate with audits and policies. Additional Duties
