In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Enhance Data Integration: By designing and automating the deployment of distributed systems, you'll streamline the ingestion and transformation of diverse data sources, ensuring seamless data integration. Improve Data Quality: Implementing frameworks to continuously monitor and troubleshoot data quality and integrity issues will ensure that the data remains accurate and reliable. Strengthen Data Governance: Establishing robust data governance processes will help manage metadata, access, and retention, ensuring compliance and security for both internal and external users. Optimize Data Pipelines: Your guidance on building efficient, scalable, and quality data pipelines with monitoring and alert mechanisms will enhance the reliability and performance of data processing. Boost Database Performance: Designing and implementing physical data models and optimizing database performance through efficient indexing and table relationships will ensure fast and reliable data access. Drive Automation: Utilizing innovative tools and techniques to automate repetitive data preparation and integration tasks will reduce manual errors and improve overall productivity. Lead and Mentor: By coaching and developing less experienced team members, you'll foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Responsibilities To be successful in this role you will need the following: Master System Requirements Engineering: Translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements, establish acceptance criteria, track requirements throughout the system lifecycle, and assess the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and resources. Collaborate Effectively: Build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with others to achieve shared objectives. Communicate Clearly: Develop and deliver communications that convey a clear understanding of the needs of different audiences. Focus on the Customer: Build strong relationships with customers and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Make Quality Decisions: Make good and timely decisions to keep the organization moving forward. Excel in Data Extraction: Perform ETL activities from various sources and transform data for downstream applications and users. Develop Strong Programming Skills: Create, write, and test code, scripts, and build scripts using industry standards and tools. Apply Quality Assurance Metrics: Use standards, tools, metrics, and KPIs to assess whether solutions meet their intended outcomes. Document Solutions: Document information and solutions based on knowledge gained during product development. Validate Solutions: Validate configuration changes or solutions to ensure they work as designed and meet requirements. Ensure Data Quality: Identify, understand, and correct data flaws to support effective governance and decision-making. Solve Problems Systematically: Use analysis processes and methodologies to solve problems and mentor others in these techniques. Qualifications Education, Licenses, Certifications: Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience required. May require licensing for export controls or sanctions compliance. Experience: Intermediate experience in a relevant discipline. 5-7 years in data modeling. Knowledge of data engineering technologies: Big Data platforms, Spark, Scala/Java, Hive, Kafka, SQL, cloud-based compute, data extraction tools, IoT, Agile development preferred. Additional Responsibilities Work with business Product Owner to understand product vision. Analyze and redesign data architecture to optimize data and analytics. Define and develop data architecture for functional areas. Coordinate with enterprise data architecture and standards. Represent data projects in architecture forums. Develop data models and contribute to strategy and program execution. Maintain data architecture documentation. Evaluate new data tools and support data model performance and accuracy. Strong SQL, Dimensional Modeling, and experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks). Salary range: $76,800 - $115,200. The final offer depends on qualifications and experience.
