The Construction Project Executive is a senior-level leader responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of small to large-scale construction projects. This role ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. The Construction Project Executive serves as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, driving operational excellence and profitability across multiple construction teams.
As a JDL Corporate Interiors Construction Project Executive, you will be responsible for the following:
Maintaining and developing relationships to reinforce a commitment to world-class customer service across the board, including co-workers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the design community.
Aiding in locating potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities.
Successfully managing JDL's largest and most complex projects.
Assisting in business development by promoting the JDL brand in the marketplace.
Mentoring Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers by establishing performance goals and conducting evaluations.
Ensuring a project schedule is in place during setup and bidding phases, reflecting project strategy and supporting estimating and subcontractor selection.
Participating in the development and review of project scope, buy-out, and schedule.
Developing purchasing strategies to address challenges during pre-construction.
Executing all project phases, including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
Collaborating with Estimating and Purchasing to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Working with the Project Superintendent to maintain an accurate project schedule.
Monitoring financial data to identify potential issues early.
Managing requisitioning and collections to ensure timely payments.
Promoting positive subcontractor relations through professionalism and fairness.
Demonstrating strong leadership and professionalism, serving as a resource for project teams.
Meeting regularly with client representatives to determine requirements and promote relationships.
Identifying and implementing value-added services for clients.
Addressing owner, landlord, and city/state requirements to avoid delays and ensure safety and satisfaction.
Understanding project strategy, financial goals, scheduling, logistics, and milestones.
Maintaining open communication regarding project changes and conditions.
Managing punch list processes to ensure timely completion.
Participating in training and mentoring staff.
Occasionally participating in Project Superintendent duties on site.
