You will be responsible for the functionality and efficiency of all in-unit supplies and technology and will be a subject matter expert for all building systems and ensure they function accordingly. Through regular in-person inspections, you are responsible for ensuring that all public spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained, including common areas and individual units, to Kasa brand standards, setting the tone of the property and are ready in time for check-in. Like many operations roles, there is no “typical day” but you will collaborate daily with Kasa teams and partners to drive results. Daily tasks will consist of, but are not limited to fixing in-unit broken items, installing replacement furnishings, replacing hardware, repairing drywall, painting, and other routine maintenance tasks. Day in the life of a Kasa Maintenance Associate (Engineering)

Like any Ops role, you should expect to have a number of competing priorities on a given day or week. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of autonomy, creativity, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Actively provide technical engineering support for the on-site team regarding the operation, improvements, replacements, and/or upgrades for building systems and equipment. Identify and recommend potential building systems-related projects. Lead efforts involving preventative maintenance requirements, process improvements, standards review and troubleshooting, equipment selection, and service vendors. Assist the PortfolioOperations Managerwith reviewing price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for ongoing property maintenance and special projects. Understand existing elevator and fire/life safety systems maintenance, making recommendations for process or capital improvements, and assisting in project management of modernization of any of these systems. Maintain records related to property permits, licenses, and environmental requirements. Support Operations Teams with Quality Initiatives related to Maintenance and Upkeep for the property. Ensure guest satisfaction and complete day-to-day services required to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. In one year, you will succeed at Kasa by having:

Minimum 4 years of experience providing facilities support in the commercial, multi-family, or hospitality industry Strong working knowledge of all building systems, including but not limited to MEP, commissioning, life and fire safety, elevator modernization, HVAC, and other centralized systems You are data-driven, with metrics on your mind, and can interpret and analyze financial and non-financial data You have a high level of independence and can make thoughtful decisions, even in fast-paced and ambiguous operating environments You are obsessive about clear documentation of learnings, and always approach a problem with the mindset of how you could scale the solution to 100x the size You communicate with clarity and empathy and can deliver impactful presentations to both senior business leaders as well as daily operations staff You have excellent time management skills and enjoy juggling multiple time-sensitive projects at the same time You're comfortable lifting items up to 50 pounds You can handle stressful situations with a calm and positive demeanor A typical schedule for this role is based on business needs in your market, sometimes including nights and weekends and holidays, as we are in the hospitality industry. While you are not 'on-call 24/7' for this job, during emergencies, you will get a call and if you're available, we compensate above state requirements to a minimum of 2 hours Overtime, on defined days off or after working hours. The Pay The starting base pay range for this role is between $27.00 and $30.00 and is set based on multiple considerations including business needs, market demands, talent availability, experience, and unique skills and attributes.
