Senior Accounting Manager

Direct message the job poster from Conexus We are representing our client, a very well-funded aerospace startup company based in Torrance, in hiring a Senior Accounting Manager. Responsibilities: Own all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, including: Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare and timely review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with leadership. Implement new accounting systems, tools and processes to support scale. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial insights and reporting needs. Collaborate with the Controller,who currently oversees AP/AR and Payroll. In the future it may lead to those functions transitioning under your management as the company grows and your leadership responsibilities expand Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting Hands-on experience with monthly close and financial reporting Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills & Experience: CPA, or working towards CPA 5+ years' background in public accounting (Big 4 or regional) combined with industry experience, preferred Prior startup or high-growth company experience, preferred Familiarity with implementing systems and scaling accounting operations, preferred Seniority level
