About Our Client
The
Director of Finance - Americas
will be a key member of the executive leadership team in the Americas, reporting directly to the CFO (based in Europe) and dotted line to the Americas President. The Director of Finance will manage a team of 2 direct reports and oversee a total team of 25-30 across the US, Mexico, and Brazil. This role has full ownership of the financial performance of the region and is responsible for Controllership, FP&A, and Integrated Supply Chain Finance.

Job Responsibilities
Lead and serve as the Head of Finance and Controllership for the Americas.
Provide strategic financial leadership and recommend performance improvements.
Partner with business units for reporting and planning (AOP and STRAP) with the Americas President.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
Report on customer profitability and performance analysis to management.
Participate in Executive Management Team meetings, providing financial updates.
Guide and mentor the Supply Chain finance teams, collaborating with Operations and Supply Chain leadership.
Manage process improvements, controls, standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
Review business performance against budgets and forecasts.
Collaborate with Global FP&A on operational costs and SG&A.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls for all legal entities.
Prepare 3-year and 5-year business plans.
Manage tax and compliance activities, working with tax and treasury teams.
Develop and evaluate the finance team, fostering performance and skill development.
Travel 25-35% within the Americas as needed.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
MBA and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
15+ years in FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, or Controllership roles.
3+ years in senior financial leadership.
Experience in public accounting (Big 4) is highly preferred.
Proven ability to work across departments and implement operational improvements.
Automotive industry experience, especially with OEMs, is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), and business intelligence tools.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Offerings
Competitive salary: $220,000 - $270,000, plus bonus, long-term incentives, benefits, 401K, vacation, and holidays. Hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office). Opportunities for global growth and leadership involvement. Candidates must be local.
