Purpose: To lead and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Metal Fabrication Department, optimizing operational efficiency, eliminating waste, and ensuring excellence in manufacturing City Theatrical products. Key Responsibilities:

Champion and embed Lean manufacturing principles throughout all metal fabrication processes (press brake, stamping, welding, and powder coating). Plan, lead, and document continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events, process mapping, and root cause analysis. Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to quality, productivity, safety, and cost. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and develop sustainable solutions. Coach and mentor team members on CI methodologies and tools (5S, standard work, visual management). Supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and production goals. Drive the implementation and sustainment of 5S programs and workplace organization. Lead efforts to reduce setup time, increase throughput, and minimize scrap and rework. Maintain accurate documentation of process improvements and outcomes. Partner with Engineering and Quality to implement new processes and technologies. Develop team training plans to elevate CI competency and technical skills. 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a metal manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success leading Lean/CI initiatives with measurable outcomes. Strong working knowledge of press brakes, stamping, fabrication, and powder coating processes. Proficient in CI tools: 5S, root cause analysis (RCA), PDCA, value stream mapping, etc. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to influence and engage team members in a shop-floor setting. Familiarity with ERP systems (SYSPRO preferred); Fabriwin and Solidworks experience a plus. 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a metal manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success leading Lean/CI initiatives with measurable outcomes.
