BioMarin Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This position will be a key member of a cross-functional, multi-national team supporting BioMarin's Skeletal Conditions Business Unit, with an emphasis on the Commercial organization. Reporting to the Skeletal Conditions Director of FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving BU financial planning, P&L management, and reporting. This individual will help develop robust analytics and critical insights that drive enterprise-wide strategic business decisions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The successful candidate will gain significant exposure to business operations, strategic decision-making processes, and key Executive Leadership, contributing to the development and execution of business strategies. Responsibilities include: Managing the annual budget, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including development of templates, timelines, and communication; consolidating business inputs and detailed analysis of the combined budget. Serving as a finance business partner to cost centers/budget owners, supporting key investment decisions and spend analysis; preparing and presenting management updates for the Executive team. Preparing and presenting comprehensive financial packages for senior management, highlighting key insights and trends. Preparing monthly financial reports, including variance analysis to assess performance against budget and forecasts. Driving ongoing process improvement and automation projects within the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborating with Technical Operations (TOPS) and Worldwide R&D (WWRD) on OpEx. Conducting detailed analyses and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Experience Desired: 3+ years of experience in complex corporate finance environments (preferably in-house corporate finance). Understanding of the biopharma industry and its complex, highly regulated landscape is desirable; experience in other healthcare segments is also attractive. Experience with financial systems like SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, including implementation and enhancement. Results-driven, adaptable, flexible, and creative in developing new ideas and solutions. Hands-on experience working closely with high-growth business operations. Strong interpersonal skills, effective both individually and in teams. Strong attention to detail, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business. The salary range for this position is: $96,000 to $132,000. Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and location.
