flexible schedule of either work 10hr days Monday-Thursday and take off Friday, or work 8-hour days Monday-Thursday in the office and from home Friday's A Day in the Life of the Director of Finance As the Director of Finance, you’ll serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. From leading the budgeting process to managing utility billing and municipal court operations, you’ll be shaping strategic financial planning and promoting fiscal transparency and responsibility citywide. Responsibilities include: Lead all budget planning and execution for the City and Urban Renewal Agency Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal audit functions Supervise the Finance Department team, including utility billing and municipal court staff Conduct financial forecasting and data-driven fiscal analysis Ensure compliance with Oregon Budget Law and GAAP Serve as the City’s financial liaison to auditors, banks, and advisory groups Promote financial sustainability and implement internal control best practices Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal finance Strong leadership and supervisory skills CPA certification preferred Proficient in financial systems (e.g., Caselle), Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools About the Hiring Company: Our client is a vibrant and close-knit community nestled in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
