Utility Extrusion Operator - Night Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated Utility Extrusion Operator who is ready to contribute to our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform a variety of essential functions crucial for the smooth operation of our extrusion processes. Act as a Machine Operator or Assistant when needed, performing duties as directed by the Supervisor. Fill in during lunch breaks and assist with staffing needs as directed. Identify non-conforming materials and inform the operator for prompt resolution. Ensure all raw materials used are approved for production. Adhere to ISO standards and food safety practices diligently. Test and document substrate basis weight and appearance samples, retaining necessary records. Track raw material usage, noting any defects and documenting production processes. Ensure proper packaging and labeling of any unused raw materials for return. Set up and operate resin blenders to ensure efficiency. Monitor and manage production processes in the operator's absence. Verify calibration of in-line and bench measuring instruments against records before use. Perform machine setup and cleanup tasks effectively. Assist with preventive maintenance as needed. Communicate effectively at shift changes to prepare the next crew for success. Qualifications, Education, and Experience High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. A minimum of nine to twelve months of relevant experience or training preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Proactive individual who demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify problems and propose viable solutions.
