Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Assignment Length:
1-year contract Pay:
$35.00 – $38.00 per hour Start Date:
As soon as possible About the Role: Looking for an experienced Engineering Technician. This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical work to build and modify automotive systems — especially vehicle harnesses, ADAS integrations, and prototype components. Responsibilities: Build complex automotive harnesses using diagrams and schematics
Perform low-voltage electrical wiring for vehicles
Modify vehicles both mechanically and electrically
Prototype and test vehicle systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues, document processes and findings
Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and operations teams
Participate in validation and testing activities
Requirements: Strong electrical/mechanical experience with vehicles (not just lube/brake work)
Able to read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics
Comfortable working independently
Experience working with vehicle electrical systems and components
Understanding of rapid prototyping and fabrication processes
Preferred Qualifications: ASE certification
Experience with medium- or heavy-duty trucks (diagnostics or repairs)
Familiar with ADAS (camera/lidar/radar) systems and integration
Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments
Benefits: Pre-tax commuter benefits
Employer-subsidized health insurance
FSA for healthcare costs
Short- and long-term disability and life insurance (100% covered)
401(k) plan
Interview Process: Virtual Technical Interview (45 minutes)
Onsite Technical + Behavioral Interview (5 hours total, can be split into 2 days)
Additional Notes: This role is ideal for a true mechanic — someone who’s done full vehicle diagnostics, wiring, or mechanical integration work — not just oil changes or brakes.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorships or corp-to-corp).
Must be comfortable working onsite every day.
Cultural fit is important to the client — hands-on, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
Ops Check Questions (Be Prepared to Answer): Describe a time you built or modified a vehicle system using schematics.
Explain how you diagnosed and fixed an electrical issue on a truck.
Share your experience working on medium- or heavy-duty trucks.
Walk through a time you validated or tested an automotive system.
What’s your experience with ADAS systems like LiDAR, radar, or cameras?
Do you hold any ASE or other technical certifications?
