Director/Sr. Director, Corporate Partnerships

1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Excel Sports Management is seeking a highly motivated and focused sponsorship salesperson to join the growing Properties division. Based in our Chicago office, you will be responsible for the sale of marquee partnership assets for our newest client in the city of Chicago, including but not limited to venue naming rights, founding partnerships, jersey sponsorships, and official partnerships, as well as other sponsorship related consulting services for domestic and global sports and entertainment properties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include prospecting and identifying qualified companies for partnership assets, maintaining a brand prospect pipeline, securing meetings with decision makers, deploying a consultative sales approach, collaborating with the Marketing Solutions department to build narratives and presentations, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals, pivoting conversations to other sales verticals, establishing relationships with senior-level decision-makers, leveraging hosting assets to develop relationships, and other duties as assigned. Education & Experience required: Bachelor's degree, 6-8+ years of relevant work experience, proven sales track record with 7-figure annual sponsorship deals, self-starter comfortable with dynamic work environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required include established network with senior brand/agency/property decision-makers, confident salesperson, collaborative, persistent relationship builder, project management skills, excellent communication skills, and good judgment and discretion.
