SUMMARY:
(Summary description of the primary duties and objectives of the position.)
The VP of Disability Services will provide overall vision, planning, direction and engagement to all I/DD programs with the focus on operational performance in meeting strategic initiatives. The VP will provide mentoring and support to I/DD directors, managers and staff, in addition, to setting expectations that will promote high standards of client care. Responsible for the monitoring and execution of budgetary expectations that will generate strong and sustainable operating and financial outcomes. Foster a culture of client and family centered care, service, quality and safety excellence, while improving client experience, employee experience and community relations. Provides a combination of tactical leadership and strategic visioning for Anixter Center’s Disability Services programs, including 4 residential CILA services, 2-day programs, literacy program and intermittent CILA program for people with I/DD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Tactical Leadership
Utilizing a hands-on approach, oversees all aspects of programs supervised. Provide supervision / guidance to all directors supervised. Creates and implements policies, standard operating procedures, workflows, and forms to ensure DD programs are highly effective and efficient. Works collaboratively with the Quality team to create and track outcomes and to develop improvement plans when outcomes are not where they should be. Ensure programs complies with rules and regulations that govern the work, including regular and systematic monitoring of areas of compliance and feedback loops to directors. Ensure staff is documenting their work timely through progress notes, communication logs, and all other documentation tools (including electronic record keeping) to evidence best practices for services and leveraging maximum funding. Provides clear leadership to investigate and remedy any deficiency in services according to agency policy, including OIG concerns and audit results. Guides directors in the recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of all program personnel. Monitors and maintains program enrollment and utilization at required levels and ensure payment for services by working with program directors and Anixter’s accounting team. Ensures departmental adherence to Anixter Center policies and procedures. Develops meeting and communication structures across all programs in ensure that staff at all levels are aware of policy, procedure or workflow changes. Ensures safe working conditions for staff and clients. Continues professional development on an ongoing basis; maintains credentials. Oversee the licensing of all homes and services, and compliance with rules, regulations, and laws regarding service delivery. Prepares annual budget in collaboration with Senior Leadership, oversees program and contract specific spending; and prepares monthly reporting to the Board. Oversees the budgetary and fiscal needs of all programs supervised. Oversees and participates in the on-call schedule for DD services.
Strategic Visioning And Growth
Oversees strategic planning for the Anixter's Disability Services. Develop and nurture critical partnerships with external entities and with a vision to service in the community. Annually creates a plan for growth of services, including an analysis of data and trends to inform growth planning. Works with Anixter’s Development team to market and promote the agency services. Develops grant concepts, writes grants in collaboration with leadership and program staff, and submits grant in partnership with Anixter's Development team. Develops and advocates for strategic moves. Understands pipelines for all programs and pursues an active recruitment plan for each Develops positive working relationships with all peers and creates collaboration opportunities with other clinical VP’s to enhance operations and improve clinical services at Anixter Center.
Requirements
MA/MS in rehabilitation or related field. QIDP status preferred Minimum of five years supervisory experience in related programs. Leadership skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Planning skills: an ability to think ahead and plan over a given time span. Management skills: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Data skills: The ability to analyze data and make decisions based on trends. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and a functional level. Strong customer orientation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High performance teams and a strong team player. Commitment to company values. Computer proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.…)
