and oversee statewide operations to ensure exceptional care delivery, compliance, and growth. Executive Director Remote Position - Must live in Delaware and be able to travel. Preference to live in Newark or Wilmington / New Castle County Full-Time Competitive Compensation Mileage and professional development support Company Description The Columbus Organization is a nationally recognized provider of case management and behavioral health services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a strong foundation in clinical excellence and person-centered care, we are committed to improving lives across the nation. Role Summary The Executive Director leads operations for a designated state, providing strategic oversight, guidance, and administrative leadership to ensure effective service delivery across multiple offices. This role works closely with the Vice President and Senior Vice President to implement the company’s vision, drive programmatic excellence, and support the growth of services in the assigned region. Key Responsibilities Lead statewide operations using Executive Director Operations Guidelines Direct recruitment and hiring efforts to fill vacancies Supervise Team Lead Supervisors and support community waiver program management Establish goals and oversee performance evaluations Analyze and manage annual financial operating budget Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal waiver-based service regulations Provide oversight of programmatic functions, service delivery, and contract adherence Evaluate service outcomes with Compliance and Quality Assurance Director Complete and analyze monthly Playbook Scorecard metrics Address performance concerns and provide corrective action and technical assistance Develop and implement annual work plans with measurable outcomes Guide program development, expansion strategies, and new service initiatives Conduct stakeholder outreach and represent Columbus at conferences and external meetings Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies such as CARF and internal QA programs Analyze industry trends and competitors to identify growth opportunities Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, diversity, and customer service Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field Minimum 5 years of supervisory and administrative experience Experience working with the developmentally disabled population Proven background in managing large-scale case management programs Quick Facts Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional evenings/weekends Setting: Statewide oversight and community-based operations Travel: Required – includes local and out-of-area travel with possible overnight stays Seniority level
