You will be part of the Power Management Distribution and Charging (PMDC) group in the Energy Storage and Power System (ESPS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will design, deliver and integrate high voltage & low voltage power distribution systems for the Gen 6 eVTOL Aircraft.

hybrid

work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our HQ office 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days. As part of the ESPS IPT organization and deployed in the PMDC Team you will be focused on the design and development of the Low Voltage and High Voltage power distribution systems. What You Will Do: You will participate in all aspects of lifecycle development, including but not limited to: concept design, detailed design, cross-functional team coordination, integration into Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, design verification testing, standardized documentation, requirements verification, and troubleshooting during experimentation. You will help conceptualize designs that optimize the weight, cost, and performance of the Power Management and Distribution System. You will support Design Verification Testing, Acceptance Testing, Qualification Testing, and Safety of Flight Testing. Additionally, you will regularly collaborate with teams outside of the PMDC (mechanical, thermal, flight test, systems, safety) to ensure designs meet the requirements of other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Requirements: At least 5 years of relevant industry experience with a BSEE/BSME or equivalent, and experience in electromechanical design .

Proficiency in CAD (NX highly preferred) and electrical/mechanical design tools.

Proficiency in GD&T, mechanical and electrical drawing drafting and review.

Experience drafting engineering drawings for power distribution systems (mechanical, harness, PCBA) and the electrical requirements including creepage, clearance, EMI/EMC considerations, etc.

Experience selecting materials for various power distribution system components (e.g., conductors, wiring, housings) and understanding surface treatments or coatings.

Experience troubleshooting hardware and designing power distribution components.

Knowledge of integrating electrical components, including high-voltage (HV) components, bus bars, wiring, and understanding related design documentation.

What You Have Done: Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (e.g. NX, SolidWorks).

Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter).

Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for developing test scripts for design validation.

Experience troubleshooting hardware issues during the testing phase of integrated designs.

Designed power distribution components (e.g., busbars, wire harnesses) and developed related documentation (e.g., wiring diagrams, harness definition drawings, mechanical drawings).

Integrated electrical power distribution components, such as HV contactors, pyro-fuses, and PCBAs.

Desired: Familiarity with electrical design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, LTSpice).

Experience with high-voltage (HV) systems in electric vehicles (400V+).

Experience writing and executing test procedures for design validation and qualification.

Ability to write GUIs in Python or LabVIEW.

Experience with supplier management.

Job Type: Full-time Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $136,327 - $160,385 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
