Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative
Principal Electrical Engineer
to lead the design, development, and validation of electrical systems for advanced appliances and brewer platforms. This role combines hands-on PCBA development with strategic system-level architecture, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional leadership. You’ll work with technologies including MCUs, AC/DC control, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular), UI (LEDs, OLED, LCD, touch), and sensing solutions—driving innovation across current and future products. This position offers significant impact and visibility within the KDP technology organization. Key Responsibilities
End-to-end ownership of PCBA design, testing, and debugging for appliances Architect system-level electrical solutions aligned with product and business goals Analyze trade-offs between performance, manufacturability, and cost Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and budgeting events Lead DFM, DFT, and DFMEA reviews; conduct failure analysis and corrective actions Perform detailed technical analysis and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to bridge technology gaps Establish performance metrics through theory, models, and experiments Facilitate qualification testing to ensure compliance with electrical and regulatory standards (EMI, UL, FCC, CSA, etc.) Meet project schedules, deadlines, and budgets Note: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Master's in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience Knowledge of designing for reliability and manufacturing Experience with circuit simulation and prototyping Familiarity with UL & FCC regulatory requirements Experience with MCU-based PCBA design, connectivity devices, UI devices, and sensing circuits Embedded programming skills are a plus Creative, self-driven, with strong analytical skills and quick learner Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and partners Preferred Skills:
