Want to design technology that helps keep millions of people safe? As a UX Designer at Ring, you'll shape how people interact with our mobile apps, making security features feel simple and intuitive. Working with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers, you'll develop ideas from early concepts through to features used by customers worldwide. This role combines creative problem-solving with meaningful impact - designing digital experiences that provide peace of mind to customers every day.
Key job responsibilities
Create user-centered designs based on customer needs, feedback, and business requirements.
Collaborate with Product Management and the User Research team to ensure a consistent and delightful experience.
Work with software engineers to bring designs and visions to market.
Leverage AI technologies to innovate and improve customer experiences or operational efficiency.
Use design systems to maintain consistency across product pages and marketing experiences.
Champion accessibility, mobile-first design, and user empathy throughout the design process.
Develop diagrams, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed UI specifications.
Present design work for review and feedback from teams and leadership.
Coordinate with international teams across US and European time zones.
A day in the life
Partner with product managers and UX researchers to understand goals and create aligned designs. Work ranges from high-level concepts to detailed specs, collaborating closely with developers to realize these designs. Engage with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment, supported by a community of designers and researchers.
About the team
The Creative and Design Group (CDG) is a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, writers, researchers, and managers working together to bring the RBKS product vision to life. We embrace big ideas, take risks, and solve complex problems by focusing on insights and innovation—crafting products that connect the physical and digital customer journey.
5+ years of design experience
3+ years delivering UX or interaction design solutions
Online portfolio required
Experience with prototyping (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Axure, etc.)
2+ years working on mass-market consumer web/mobile products
Experience shipping successful consumer products
Ability to manage ambiguity, work independently, and multitask in an agile environment
