THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity is for an overall leadership role with oversight over a new program which connects multiple aspects of the wealth advisory ecosystem to find best fit solutions for high-net-worth investors. This new initiative matches high net worth investors with leading investment advisory solutions, including third party independent registered advisory (RIA) firms and BNY's own Wealth Management offering. This program catalyzes interest in wealth advisory services from high-net-worth consumers and then connects them with trained consultants to help them select an optimal wealth advisory experience for their particular needs.

THE ROLE

The role, titled

Senior Director, Advisor Match

, seeks a candidate who has past experience in establishing and scaling a B2B2C lead generation and advisory program from inception, or running a program for a scaled player. The candidate will manage a multi-disciplinary team at BNY to drive end-to-end implementation as well as ongoing management through the build, launch, run and optimize lifecycle. The role includes building an initiative-wide project plan, managing teams across a variety of functions and inspiring followership across organization. The

may also be tasked with originating and developing additional Pershing client growth initiatives.

EXPERTISE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This leader will possess the following expertise and skills:

Experience initiating and managing multiple large projects that connect across multiple teams, business units, including external partners:

Deep wealth management experience, including command of the wealth advice proposition to, and needs of investors

Ability to advance the craft of speaking with investors to select a preferred wealth advisory solution, and directing the creation of tool, processes and best practices to scale a team of registered individuals

Leadership experience in marketing investment information to consumers, preferably HNW individuals (developing marketing collateral and sales playbooks)

Leadership experience in deploying and using state-of-the-art technology to optimize and manage a sales funnel digitally and with licensed individuals

Tactical product and design experience, or fluency in customer experience and ability to speak technologists' "language"

Ability to attract and manage channel partnerships with national financial organizations (including co-designing the approach and processes with new partners as applicable)

Strong relationships in RIA ecosystem and experience working with large advisory firms

Senior executive experience leading a cross-functional team, with experience of P&L ownership

Development and approval of a multi-year budget and other key financial decisions

Allocation of resources to align with business objectives and annual plan

Oversee reports liaising with Executive Sponsors, Finance, Legal, Compliance and others

Oversee product strategy, build, roll-out and ongoing development. Sets program priorities and develops a shared vision and strategy to optimize team execution and performance

Proven ability to recruit, direct, motivate and develop team members, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team

Oversight, development and implementation of new processes and policies for program and ensures they are operationalized

Risk management-oriented, possessing the ability to mitigate regulatory, legal and reputational risk, which maintaining a commercial mindset.

FURTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred experience/qualifications:

Advanced degree preferred, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

15 years' experience of developing relationships with advice professionals, and proven track record of leading advice or advice adjacent business.

Past experience building large initiatives with multiple constituencies and stakeholders within large organizations.

Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills - ability to think dynamically, listen, persuade, and develop mutually beneficial solutions.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people of all levels.

Industry licenses, including Series 7, 65 and Series 24.

Advanced professional designation/certification preferred (e.g. CFP, CFA, JD or CPA)

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $180,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
