Program Onsite Cafeteria Career development opportunities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conducts quality assurance testing and verifies and accurately documents products and raw materials on the plant floor. These may include verifying and documenting:
In-process and finished product quality checks to ensure compliance
to
established specifications and temperature requirements. Labels to ensure they meet regulatory requirements including tare weights, UPC codes, legibility, establishment number, pricing and correct product identification. Incoming ingredients for compliance to established visual and temperature requirements. Sell-by and product dates on product runs.
Investigates and determines cause or causes of quality defects and communicates with production team.
Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to do root causes analysis and preventive measures.
Works
with other leads and supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments to ensure Quality Department coverage. Communicates to leads and supervisors when product is out of specification. Assists in validating plant-wide compliance
with
GMPs and employee safety rules.
Assists leadership in Root Cause Analysis and implements preventative measures.
Trains new team members as needed. Works independently or within a team as needed. Assembles of
daily reports, paperwork, and blue label sheets as needed. Stays current with knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, standards, policies, procedures and specification of product. Verifies calibration of equipment. Maintains communication and updates as required by leadership. Performs detailed inspections, testing and documentation
Trained and qualified in pre-operation activities Trained and qualified in HACCP documentation and activities
Directs and leads a group of employees involved in inspection and quality procedures about in-process material and finished products to
ensure
that quality standards are achieved.
Plans and
assistance
work of quality team as needed. Maintains expectations, morale, and harmonious relations among subordinates. Evaluates and communicates personnel performance or training needs.
Maintains accurate quality records.
Compiles and maintains accurate quality inspection records and reports.
May assume other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prefer
High School Diploma or equivalent certification Prefer experience in food manufacturing/and or
quality. Ability to speak, read, and write English Good verbal and written communication skills Bilingual preferred Good math skills Must be well-organized with g
ood attention to detail Display strong
work
ethics
and positive attitude Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance Ability to
work independently or as a team and
apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed
instruction and
communicate findings with QA & Production Leads, and Supervisors. Work Environment ACTIVITIES: Validating manufacturing work on the plant floor, standing for long hours, bending, stooping, and lifting. HEARING: Must be able to hear average or normal conversations to receive information, occasionally with loud background noise in the working environment. REPETITIVE MOTION: Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers. VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary visual acuity
is necessary
to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery. PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Regularly or frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS: Must
be able to work for long hours in a food processing environment, where it is loud, wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are
around 34-degrees. E
mployees are expected to remain in these conditions throughout the workday. About
