Senior Project Manager

in our Denver office. As an employee-owned company, we are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of respect and excellence. Summary: The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of civil engineering design and permitting projects. This includes preparing scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The role involves attending project meetings, making technical presentations, overseeing technical staff, and working with clients at local, regional, or state levels to help them achieve their goals. Essential Functions: Develop project work plans and scopes of work. Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring. Prepare proposals, manage project budgets, and handle invoicing. Design roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Produce project deliverables such as technical memoranda, plans, specifications, and reports. Administer QA/QC procedures for project deliverables. Prepare supporting calculations, construction specifications, and permits across jurisdictions. Create construction cost models and provide engineer’s opinions of probable costs throughout project stages. Manage and design Urban Redevelopment projects for municipal and private clients. Collaborate with other practice leaders on multidisciplinary pursuits. Participate in proposal presentations and project interviews. Maintain effective communication with clients and teams. Prepare technical reports and presentations. Oversee construction observation and coordination. Ensure staff resources are used productively and profitably. Conduct regular meetings to align project needs with staff availability. Competencies: Strong project management and delivery skills. Ability to supervise staff, bid projects, and develop project plans and technical deliverables. Excellent client and personnel communication skills. Technical expertise with team building, proposal development, and cost estimating. Ability to lead teams and maintain positive relationships. Organized, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D. Willingness to travel to project sites and offices. Education and Experience: Degree in civil engineering (undergraduate or graduate). Colorado PE licensure or ability to obtain within one year. Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil design experience. Experience with traffic, drainage, and utility reports. Experience with private and municipal clients. Strong industry relationships and understanding of relevant policies and procedures. Valid driver’s license and successful MVR check.
