The
Senior Accountant
will play a key role in the month-end close process and ongoing financial operations. This position is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Own key areas of the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting packages. Review and analyze financial results to identify variances and trends. Support fixed asset accounting, prepaid schedules, intercompany transactions, and revenue recognition as applicable. Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, and operational teams to ensure proper coding and cost center accuracy. Assist with audits, including providing schedules and responding to PBC requests. Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation efforts to streamline workflows. Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal controls. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong GL and close process exposure. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Excel. Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA track strongly preferred. Experience in a public company, high-growth tech, or public accounting environment Familiarity with project accounting, cost allocations, or government contracting (if applicable). Exposure to ASC 606, ASC 842, and SOX controls a plus. Seniority level
