We're seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join an Agile development team supporting a high-impact enterprise financial software system and web application. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, architects, developers, and leadership to deliver business capabilities and drive process improvements. What You'll Do:
Analyze requirements and document user stories for Agile sprints
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams
Convert business use cases into actionable tasks for development
Organize, lead, and refine backlogs, epics, and sprints
Facilitate stakeholder meetings to clarify requirements and priorities
Maintain project documentation in JIRA, Confluence, and Portfolio
Support process mapping and improvement initiatives
Contribute to technical planning and execution with Architects and Tech Leads
Deliver clear technical and business documentation including: User stories
Requirements traceability matrices
Data flow diagrams
Use cases
Wireframes/mockups
What You’ll Need:
U.S. Citizenship (required for Public Trust clearance)
Bachelor's degree
3+ years experience as a Business Analyst on Agile software development teams
Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence
Familiarity with Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools for process modeling
Strong understanding of Agile SDLC and backlog management
Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented and customer-focused
Nice to Have:
Experience with federal government systems
Familiarity with DevOps culture and tools
Prior work in pilot phase or new system implementation
Knowledge of information architecture, data governance, or cross-team coordination
DMV-based and willing to be onsite as needed
