Job Title: Sr. Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Finance)
Location:
Torrance, CA
Work Hours:
40 hours/week
Travel:
Up to 10% domestic/international travel required. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 times per week.

Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of experience with Quality Engineering & APQP.
Must have 5 years of experience with:
Supplier (Net Inspect) tool usage and experience to ensure supplier data compliance
DFMEA - Design Failure Modes & Effects analysis - experience and leadership in completing forms
PFMEA - Process Failure Modes & Effects analysis - experience and leadership in completing forms
MSA - Measurement System Analysis experience & leadership
PPAP leadership and management of IPT to ensure compliance
Understanding of HMR milestones and alignment to IPDS program phases
Program Management skills to influence & ensure compliance
Knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, & AS13100 to complete APQP role
Additional skills:
Up to 10% domestic/international travel
Telecommuting up to 2 times per week
Responsibilities:
Lead development and maintenance of Advanced Product Quality Plans aligned with development programs.
Monitor APQP status during new product development (NPI).
Support creation of Process Flow Map, PFMEA, and Control Plan.
Build relationships with customers and suppliers to explain APQP process.
Review product and process design documents like DFMEAs, PFMEAs, MSAs, and Control Plans.
Monitor product build performance and assist in DFM and process capability studies.
Coordinate between engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality for Flawless Launch activities.
Provide compliance documentation for IPDS Phase Exit packages.
Ensure completion of supplier APQP requirements, including Early Supplier Engagement and PPAP.
Address NPI quality issues collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
