Key job responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, performant, and secure web applications powered by LLMs.

Build and maintain end-to-end features across the front-end and back-end.

Design intuitive and responsive user interfaces to enable seamless LLM interaction.

Define and enforce engineering best practices (code quality, testing, CI/CD, logging, observability).

Mentor and guide other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pair programming.

Lead/Implement client-side performance optimizations for large-scale usage.

Stay up to date with evolving LLM capabilities, frontend frameworks and technologies.

Propose and prototype new ideas to improve user experience, model utilization, or internal tooling.

Partner with product managers and designers to shape the product roadmap.

Translate high-level product ideas into clear technical specifications and deliverables.

Drive alignment on architectural decisions, security, and long-term technical vision.

A day in the life Drive high-level system design, establish long-term architectural roadmaps, and define the technical strategy in alignment with product and business goals. Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and consistency in implementation. Deeply understand the business domain to proactively propose scalable, customer-centric solutions. Contribute to product development by analyzing and scoping requirements, providing technical input early in the lifecycle. Lead by example through active mentorship, thorough code reviews, and writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code that sets the standard for the team. About the team You will operate in a responsive, flexible, and collaborative environment, leading an agile development team that embraces modern best practices in software engineering. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Principle Engineers/Senior Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, assess technical feasibility, and deliver robust solutions that shape the next generation of our products. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring alignment between engineering and product strategy. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

3+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

Experience with object-oriented design

Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

3+ years of full stack development experience

3+ years of experience with modern web application development technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, GraphQL, TailwindCSS etc) and responsive design.

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
