Overview:
Our client is seeking a contract
Senior Analyst, Competitive Media Intelligence
to join their team for a specialized benchmarking project with one of our largest enterprise clients in the B2B tech space. This initiative will analyze how two major enterprise software brands are investing across paid and owned media including spend, messaging, creative, and channel mix beginning with the U.S. market.
This project will span
two primary phases :
Phase 1: Research Planning
- Stakeholder alignment, research tool evaluation, framework development
Phase 2: U.S. Execution
- Competitive analysis, data visualization, and delivery of strategic insights
What You'll Do:
Competitive Media Research (60%)
Lead the evaluation and setup of competitive research tools
Use platforms like Vivvix, Pathmatics, SEMrush, AdClarity, or similar to analyze competitor ad spend, placements, flighting, and messaging
Pull, QA, and synthesize data to uncover patterns and inferred media strategy
Contribute to benchmarking reports that provide actionable insights for internal and client teams
Reporting & Strategic Storytelling (30%)
Build visual reports and dashboards (Excel, Looker Studio, PowerPoint, Google Slides)
Offer point-of-view recommendations and identify whitespace opportunities
Support strategic planning sessions and framework development for future analysis
Collaboration & Support (10%)
Work closely with client strategists, media planners, and internal teams
Provide ad hoc competitive research support and help establish scalable research workflows
Who You Are:
6-10 years of experience in competitive media research, digital strategy, or analytics
Strong proficiency with platforms such as Vivvix (Kantar), Pathmatics, MediaRadar, SEMrush, AdClarity, or related tools
Demonstrated ability to translate large datasets into compelling insights and narratives
Experience working with B2B or enterprise software/SaaS brands is preferred
Skilled in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Google Slides, and data visualization tools
Comfortable working independently, managing deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field preferred
Additional Details:
This role reports to the
VP of Planning & Performance
on the client team
Must be available during
Central Time Zone business hours
Opportunity for continued work in
Phase 3 (Nov-Dec)
depending on performance and project evolution
