Software Engineer Satellite Operations Software | Hybrid (Colorado) Were hiring for a Software Engineer to join a specialist customer-facing project team, helping to enable the next generation of satellite constellations through innovative software solutions. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on product development, customer integration, and project management responsibilities within a collaborative and engineering-first environment. Youll be working closely with both internal technical teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment, integration, and operation of command and control software products critical to satellite operations. This hybrid role is split between on-site collaboration (3 days per week in the Boulder/Broomfield, CO area) and remote work. Key Responsibilities: End-to-end software engineering across the full lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Act as the primary technical interface to customers, supporting integration and deployment projects. Contribute directly to open-source and proprietary software development. Manage small-scale project scopes, schedules, and stakeholder communications. Influence product direction and best practices within a growing engineering team. Stay current on emerging tools and technologies within the industry. Required Experience: Proficiency in backend development (Ruby or Python). Proficiency in frontend development (Vue or comparable frameworks). Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, and associated infrastructure technologies. Familiarity with GitHub, Git, automated testing frameworks such as Playwright. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
