Trueline’s client, a well-established government contractor specializing in infrastructure projects, is seeking a
Construction Project Engineer
to join their Anchorage, Alaska team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional to support complex projects from planning through close-out—balancing technical insight with hands-on execution in a high-compliance environment. What You'll Do as the Construction Project Engineer: Organize and maintain physical and digital project files, including daily reports, submittals, redlines, and modifications. Track and compile subcontractor documentation and timecards; assist with onboarding and termination paperwork. Monitor equipment and supply inventories, placing orders as needed. Support quality control by ensuring proper documentation is received and filed. Assist in preparing monthly billings, change orders, and maintaining all project logs. Take meeting minutes and develop agendas for weekly construction meetings and inspections. Collaborate with project managers and superintendents on project close-out and other site activities. Must-Haves as the Construction Project Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. 4+ years of experience in a construction project engineering role. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and proven safety compliance practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and critical-path schedules. Effective communicator with strong organizational and multitasking skills. Experience with concrete, framing, and finish carpentry. Proficiency in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Nice-to-Haves as the Construction Project Engineer: Knowledge of Primavera P6. Experience with USACE RMS (Resident Management System). Valid state driver’s license and passport for base access. Ability to pass security and background checks required for project sites. Our Client Offers: Competitive salary with lodging or per diem for assignments outside of Anchorage.
