In partnership with our outside vendor, BPO, this position will be responsible for premium reconciliation, discrepancies, and monitoring policies’ financial status. Job Summary

The Premium Reconciliation Consultant is expected to perform and prioritize billing and/or premium functions, executing tasks and responsibilities while building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external clients. This role involves direct ownership of a block of business related to premium management, supporting our largest and most complex client portfolios. Strong analytical skills, relationship management, communication, judgment, organizational skills, and problem resolution are essential to meet our clients' diverse needs. Responsibilities

Manage a block of policies and National Accounts from a premium accounting and billing perspective, including select full Broker blocks of business. Collaborate with BPO to ensure the accuracy of premium payments and applications. Conduct premium payment audits to identify incorrect or missing payments. Communicate policy financial status to internal and external partners. Handle past due management, billing discrepancies, and error templates, including lapsing, payment collections, and member detachment. Coordinate with internal departments such as client services and underwriting to resolve billing issues and communicate findings effectively. Partner with client finance representatives on billing and remittance challenges and overdue invoices. Manage suspense, unapplied premiums, and reconciliation for assigned blocks. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams. Attend implementation calls as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on billing processes. Support clients in transitioning members to direct billing when employment ends. Provide necessary premium reports and resolve Salesforce issues for inforce customers. Participate in account reviews and audits, developing action plans for issues and opportunities. Support team goals and KPIs. Keep process maps and documentation current, creating new documentation as needed. Perform testing for new processes or systems to minimize impact on clients and team.
