Senior Risk Consultant, Large Commercial Property Field Engineer

AXA XL Risk Consulting supports underwriters and clients in assessing and managing risks, leveraging engineering expertise across various industry sectors. The division aims to develop innovative risk engineering approaches, modeling tools, and IT solutions for clients worldwide, serving over 2,000 clients through an international network of more than 300 risk consultants. This role involves providing risk consulting for large property loss control and natural hazards evaluation in the Southeast region. It requires applying engineering knowledge and practical experience to identify and mitigate property fire and natural catastrophe risks across diverse projects and clients. Key Responsibilities
Review commercial property protection, fire protection, and water supply analysis. Conduct onsite assessments of property and natural hazard exposures, developing detailed reports and recommendations. Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations, and hazards. Collaborate with AXA XL’s network of specialized engineers to serve clients. Build credibility and customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk engineering services. Service the Southeast region with an expected travel of 20-25%. Qualifications
Experience with large property sites. Knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements. Willingness to learn fire protection if not already experienced. Engineering or Science undergraduate degree; Chemical Engineering preferred. Ability to apply industry experience to a broad customer base and project types. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical information clearly to diverse audiences. Self-starter with good scheduling and resource management skills, capable of working remotely. Teamwork and collaboration skills across lines of business and external partners. The US salary range is USD 104,000 - 182,000, with actual pay based on skills, experience, and location. Additional Information
